Skip Given was a massive influence in getting Jack Usilton involved in running basketball.

Back in 1987 when Skip was the head coach of the Washington Township Minutemen basketball team, he encouraged Jack to start running basketball programs in South Jersey. Jack never looked back, continuing the Skip Given Basketball League in memory of his friend. Jack has since passed the league operations down to one of his sons, Jim, who continues running the Skip Given and Eddie Hoban leagues at Total Turf Experience.
